Hugimugi (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the www.hugimugi.com website (the “Service”).

Accounts

To be able to comment on our website visitors must register an account, when an visitors register an account visitors are asked for an username, password and email address. Account information (e.g. username, email address) are stored and available to administrator of our website.

Every registered user has a ‘User’ page that display information about the user and anyone can freely visit this page. Users can put profile pictures for their own accounts but do note that they may be visible to anyone.

Other things users can put on their ‘User’ page may include, but is not limited to:

  • Username
  • Profile picture
  • Cover photo
  • Brief biography
  • History of user’s own posts
  • History of user’s own comments

In users ‘Account’ pages, users can change their first and last names, email addresses and passwords, also there is an option for users to delete their account permanently. Users can set their accounts no to be public to everyone in the ‘Public directory’ (which is a directory of all users) and users can change their accounts to be only visible to themselves.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Log Data

We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

This plugin query includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the Google reCAPTCHA service.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.
